Choosing A Red Nose Pit Bull Puppy

Breeders of red nose pit bull puppies are plentiful. You will find breeders in your local newspaper, websites, and dog magazines. Be careful of breeders that own puppy mills. Puppy mills are owned by breeders selling puppies for money only and have no concern of the health and welfare of the mother or the puppies. If you visit what you suspect to be a puppy mill, do not consider those puppies. Puppies from puppy mills have diseases, deficiencies, and abnormalities as the result of the lack of proper care of the parents as well as the puppies.

Be sure to check the area where puppies eat, sleep, and play. It is ok if they play outside a lot however check to be sure they sleep inside at night. When puppies sleep inside at night it exposes them to household noises and people. This is the perfect environment for puppies to build security and to socialize them. The living area of the puppies should have plenty of food and water, many puppy toys, adequate lightening and above all be clean and free of waste matter.

When puppies are about 5 weeks old they should be healthy and full of play. Puppies spend most of their day playing especially with other puppies. If when you visit the puppies are sleeping stay until they are up and around. Observe them closely when they wake up. They should be full of live and not appear to be weak or sleepy. If you notice they seem to be weak or sleepy, avoid those puppies, as this could be a sign of illness.

Puppies love people. If they are excited when they see you, this is a good sign. However if any of the puppies appear shy, stay in the corner or stay away this is a sign of insecurity or illness.

Red nose pit bulls puppies are never introverted or shy. If you notice they are again do not choose those puppies. When they become adults, they will also be shy which could lead to having an

unpredictable temperament and a possible danger to your family. Red nose pit bull puppies need socialization to become well adjusted and happy adults. If you notice the puppies frighten or scare easily they will need even more socialization as puppies in order for them to become confident adults. Red nose pit bull puppies are very friendly and should be very excited and anxious to meet you.

When its feeding time pit bulls should be happy and excited to eat. If you notice a puppy that does not seem to be happy to eat it could be a sign of an illness.

Red nose pit bull puppies have clean, shiny, and smooth coats. If sores, scratches, or bumps are present, it may be a sign of a vitamin deficiency, or an imbalanced diet. If the puppies are biting and scratching it is a sign they have fleas.

If you notice the puppies are vomiting or coughing be cautious. This is abnormal for puppies of any breed. This could mean expensive vet bills to diagnose and treat the problem.

Within two weeks after red nose pit bull puppies are born their eyes are open. Their eyes should be bright and clear with no redness or discharge. If a puppy is scratching their eyes frequently or if their eyes appear irritated, it may have an eye infection.

When you are visiting a litter stay to see the puppies move their bowels and urinate. Check to make sure the urine is clear and the feces show no signs of blood.
